One aspect of using a mobile device is that people seem to constantly manage to mess up their devices. This step by step guide is designed for Android users mainly, as Android gives you much more flexibility, however, if you’ve jail broken your Apple device, the same may apply to you.
Firstly, you need to find a reputable casino app. So head onto the internet, and get looking at the casino’s that are out there. You need to be looking out for 3 major things. Firstly, do they accept players from your country, after all there’s no point in downloading an app that won’t let you in! Secondly, you need to make sure that the casino is who it says it is, and this can be cross checked by searching for the casino and which licensing authority they claim to be registered with.
For example, go to Google and search ‘THISCASINO THISLICENSE’. If you get a load of hits, or better still you’re able to find the actual gambling commission’s website, you’re on to a winner! Thirdly, look at the methods of payment they accept. If they accept all the usual suspect like Visa credit and debit cards, Web Wallets like Skrill and Neteller, possibly Pay Pal (depending on your country of residence), things are looking good. If however a casino accepts payments through services like Western Union, proceed (if at all) with caution, for Western Union is quite easily exploited.
Once you have found a casino you are happy with, head to their website on your device and download their app. The app you are downloading is tiny because you are only downloading the shell, essentially what you are doing is downloading the covers of a book, but no content, for you will later be downloading only the content you want.
When the app is downloaded and installed you’ll need to either sign up or sign in. If you are already a member of the casino online, the same credentials can be used to sign in. If you are signing up, the process takes about 5 minutes.
Once you are logged into your app, you’ll find all the games listed in their various categories, Slots, Roulette, Blackjack etc. What you need to do here is tap on the games you want to download and install. Be aware that some of the games can be huge, so try to ensure your connected to a WIFI connection, and plugged into the mains! The games can take anything from 30 seconds to 30 minutes to download so do be patient.
Once you have downloaded the games you wish to play, whether now or in the future (we recommend you download a variety of all games to ensure you never get bored when out and about!), exit the casino app. Once back to your home screen, enter the task manager, and clear your RAM. Shut your phone down, and turn it back on. This part isn’t essential but is recommended for it allows your device to properly write and ‘learn’ what it’s just done.
Once your device is back up and running at full steam, log back into your casino as a guest, and test drive your games in a free to play environment. This again isn’t essential, but it does give you a way to ensure that everything has gone according to plan. It is very rare that things go wrong, but every now and again, hiccups do occur, be it a wrongly placed file or the download has somehow become corrupted. If this happens, simply reinstall the casino and see if that repairs it.
If your device throws a complete wobble, for example getting stuck in the start up loop, or the dreaded Screen of Death, you can force your phone to enter its safe mode. Each device is different, so a little searching may be required, but from the Safe Mode menu, you can get your device to run diagnostics, reboot, or as a last resort, reset to factory settings.
